Environment and Energy
Environmental and energy management are key issues currently gaining attention throughout the world at all levels of government. In parallel, PADECO has been expanding its expertise in this area with studies including forestry management and control of pollution, such as carbon dioxide reduction. Climate change and Clean Development Mechanisms (CDM) have become hot topics in development planning and PADECO has been expanding corporate strength by assessing environmental impacts, mitigation and adaptation strategies, exemplified by several new projects for World Bank. In terms of energy management, PADECO has particular experience in rural electricification with projects in Africa and South America.
