Description
The Romanian Government included a plan for Mass Transit Development to a link between Bucharest CBD and the Henri Coanda International Airport in their Land Transport Master plan 2005-2008. The link is served by surface road transport and suffers severe congestion due to rapid urbanization and increase of traffic demand. The study is to 1) review the existing study for the mass transit development, including demand forecasting, railway technology application, funding, project implementation schedule, and its economic and financial feasibility, 2) conduct institutional analysis for implementing organization, and 3) review necessary procedure in environmental aspects.
