Preparatory Survey on Public Private Partnership (PPP) Infrastructure Development Project
| Client Name | Japan International Cooperation Agency |
| Country | Indonesia |
Description
In Indonesia, it is increasingly necessary to set up investment conditions that will not increase the country’s external debt. To this end, the policy of Public Private Partnership (PPP) for infrastructural development was strongly promoted after the Yudhoyono government that became incumbent in 2004. However, the number of projects that involve the participation of the private sector is very limited, and the progress of PPP projects is not satisfactory. Thus, an analysis of the conditions and issues surrounding the PPP system, and of the necessity of technical assistance for PPP was carried out in order to support infrastructural development in Indonesia. In addition, toll road development projects that can be funded by yen loan were proposed based on the evaluation results of Multi Criteria analysis (MCA), which is the standard used when the Indonesian government approves PPP projects.
