Description

Conducted a study assessing the feasibility of a project to extend a recently completed 9 km railway segment from Villa El Salvador to Puente Atocongo in Lima’s “southern cone” to Central Lima. The objectives of the high-priority project included (i) upgrading the quality of public transport in Lima, (ii) providing alternatives to traffic congestion, (iii) reducing traffic accidents and environmental pollution, (iv) generating urbanization benefits, and (v) increasing the attractiveness of the Lima metropolitan area for international inward investment.
