Description
Recognizing the importance of human resources development, the DOH requested financial support from the Asian Development Bank for further strengthening the manpower of its organization through implementation of a master plan completed in 1999 by an Australian consulting firm financed by the World Bank. The master plan consisted of: (i) undertaking a comprehensive review of current policies and procedures at DOH; (ii) conducting a comprehensive survey within all departments of the organization; (iii) formulating a training plan; and (iv) designing a center which holds facilities for training. The previous master plan implementation project focused on training of trainers and supporting activities for the development of human resources.
