Description
PADECO’s tasks and activities were as follows: (i) to formulate improvement measures for the bus system in Okinawa, such as park and bus ride system, expressway bus, bus lane network, common fare system, transit facilities between bus and monorail; (ii) to examine traffic demand management measurers for promotion of public transport; (iii) to evaluate improvement measures with a literature search, a traffic demand simulation, and questionnaire survey; and (iv) to estimate benefit and cost for concerned stakeholders, such as road users, road administrator, and bus company.
